Exploración de Circunstancias Dadas (pdf)
DownloadDos sillas y un cajón: El Actor y la Imaginación Relativa (Two Chairs and a Crate: The Actor and the Relative Imagination) is a foundational guide for the Spanish-speaking and bilingual actor. This work systematizes the essential cognitive and physical processes required for character creation, offering a rigorous curriculum specifically tailored for conservatory programs and university-level acting pedagogy. While the title references the minimalist set pieces of the rehearsal studio, the content provides a framework for navigating complex narrative truths.
The book serves as a vital tool for both students in training and acting teachers, providing a systematic curriculum designed to foster comprehensive actor development. It features exclusive interviews and insights from a rich tapestry of cross-generational and multi-disciplinary artists, including Benicio del Toro, Jean Louis Rodrigue, Jacobo Morales, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Josie de Guzmán, Tony Chiroldes, Teo Castellanos, Isabel Arraiza, Michel Hausmann, Modesto Lacen and Gladys Rodríguez. By integrating these diverse perspectives, the book bridges the gap between classical training, pedagogical innovation, and the evolving demands of the global industry.

As a bilingual Puerto Rican artist, I do not just support diversity; I center it. My work in film and theater rigorously champions the complex narratives of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, moving beyond simple representation to create a space of real visibility and intersectional truth.

Set on the eve of abolition in Puerto Rico, Son de Reyes reimagines Shakespeare's Twelfth Night in a tropical Illyria—a land of absolute freedom. The production attempts the impossible task of finding the moment of birth of Latin music, fusing its three ancestral roots: Arabic, Spanish, and African rhythms.
